without your caption, one would hardly come to know this is an Adivasi girl child. with your caption, however, her pendant do tell a story : that it is still the christian missionaries that provide education to the Adivasis living in remote isolation. rather than getting Hinduised and then getting branded as 'Vanvasis' and learning to live with the social injustices, let their new conversion help them learn to assert their human rights of equality, liberty and fraternity.
આદિવાસી કોઈ પણ ધર્મ પાળી શકે અને તો પણ એ આદિવાસી જ રહે છે, મંદિરોમાં કરોડો / અબજો રૂપિયા તિજોરીમાં પડ્યા છે એનો શું અર્થ ? ભુખ્યાને અન્ન / અભણને અભ્યાસ / માંદાને દવા , નાગાને કપડા જોઈએ છે. એ જે કોઈ આપશે એની પાસે જરૂરિયાતમંદ જશે, ભુખ્યા પેટે ભજન ના થાય, ખરૂને ? જેને મજૂર ક્યાંથી મળશે ? એવી ચિંતા સતાવતી હોય એ શા માટે કોઈને ભણાવે ? એના કારણે ખિસ્તિઓ વધ્યા છે, અને આખરે રામ કહો કે રહિમ, સબ એક સમાન,કહેવાતું હોય તો વાંધો શું છે ?
